Project: Investigating issues around ladies experiences and ability to access seated exercise classes in the community

We all know that being physically active is good for us, but not everyone can take part in activities like walking, cycling, going to the gym and aerobics classes. Chair-based exercises are an alternative for those of us who cannot take part in regular exercise and are used by Physiotherapists as a step down from clinical treatments to enable patients to continue their rehabilitation and improve their wellbeing and fitness.

The project with Healthwatch BwD is to investigate the reasons for low engagement, particularly for BAME Ladies. The questionnaire below has been circulated to all patients and wider through social media to capture those who have been referred for the exercise classes. The results will enable us to understand the reasons why engagement is low and to use the feedback to improve service quality and accessibility for all.
