Sarah Johns
Chief Officer
Sarah is the Chief Officer of Healthwatch Blackburn with Darwen. Prior to joining Healthwatch, she was a member of the senior management team at Blackburn Youth Zone with responsibilities for business development, finance, HR and operations and has also worked part time at Blackburn with Darwen Healthy Living with responsibilities for business development and community engagement projects. Having worked in the borough for 8 years she is really excited to focus her work on ensuring a voice for our residents on health and social care provision and helping to address health inequalities in the borough.

Michelle Chapman
Project Officer
Michelle is one of our Projects Officer and leads on our Enter and View programme. Michelle has a wealth of experience at Healthwatch, developing and leading on Enter and Views and has specialised in child, domestic abuse and elder abuse as well as a strong knowledge of the criminal justice system.
Liam Kershaw-Calvert
Project Officer
Liam is a Project Officer who joined Healthwatch in September 2021. He is a graduate of the University of Central Lancashire, where he gained a Master’s Degree in TV Production. Liam worked for a Member of Parliament, supporting community engagement and communications. He enjoys filming and creating video content, especially around social issues, and his most recent work is a documentary exploring eating disorders and the rising diagnosis within the LGBT+ community, which he produced and directed.
Lucy Collier
Project Support Officer
Lucy is our Project support officer and has a degree from the University of Lancashire in Journalism. She has researched female reproductive issues such as Endometriosis and PCOS extensively, and has written and published articles to spread awareness for an under researched issue. She has six years of hospitality experience and is very good at engaging with people.
