Emergency Department & Urgent Treatment Centres

Healthwatch Together were asked to engage with patients presenting at Emergency Departments (ED), Urgent Treatment Centres (UTC) to explore reasons for attendance, understand experience and highlight themes to support NHS communications time.  The goal was to gather qualitative and quantitative feedback to influence NHS winter plans, highlighting what is working well and areas for improvement.

Healthwatch Together (HWT) consists of Healthwatch Cumbria, Healthwatch Lancashire, Healthwatch Blackpool and Healthwatch Blackburn with Darwen, working in collaboration together. It operates over the whole footprint of the Lancashire and South Cumbria Health and Care Partnership.
