Healthwatch is an engagement partner, providing effective solutions for community engagement needs.

We undertake engagement at a local level in order to find out the health and social care experiences and needs of people living and working across Blackburn with Darwen.

As an outward facing service, we give people the opportunity to engage with us in their own communities, rather than expecting them to come to us.

We offer a range of approaches that captures feedback and reflects the various engagement needs of our diverse communities (religious, ethnic, socio-economic, rural communities, age) as well as equitable geographic representation.

Who we are and what we do

We are the independent champion for people who use health and social care services. We’re here to make sure that those running services, put people at the heart of care.

Our sole purpose is to understand the needs, experiences and concerns of people who use health and social care services and to speak out on their behalf.

We focus on ensuring that people’s worries and concerns about current services are addressed.

We work to get services right for the future.

Wherever you live in England, you’ll have a local Healthwatch nearby, there are over 150 across the country.

We’re here to listen to the issues that really matter to local communities and to hear about your experiences of using health and social care services.

We’re entirely independent and impartial, and any information you share with us is confidential.
